It improves employee/individual capability, capacity, productivity and performance, leading to uniformity of work processes and improved organizational structure which will ultimately yield profitable business. NIFST is the only recognized professional body representing and regulating the practice Food Scientists and Technologists in Nigeria.

Part of our objectives is to disseminate knowledge among Food Scientists and Technologists as well as Food and Agro Allied Industries. We are also, a Professional Body in Nigeria that is in a position to provide authoritative advice and guidance on all food matters and on the planning and development of curricular in the training of Food Scientists and Technologists.
