The professional certification training ISO 22000 is one of the sought after certification in the food industry. The training- Food Safety Management System was organized by the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) in collaboration with Universal Registrars, a UK based training institute. Lectures held from Monday the 14th to Friday the 18th, with examination on Saturday, the 19th of September,2020. The training which had many participants in attendance was held at Umuahia, Abia State.
The South East Chapter of NIFST was applauded for organizing the training session on behalf of NIFST. The applause came in from a former President of NIFST Prof. Lateef Oladimeji Sanni and the current Vice President 1, Professor Maduibisi O. Iwe, who checked by while the training was ongoing. Special recognition to the efforts of Prof. Nneoma Obasi, the Immediate Past Chairman of the Chapter, Prof. Greg Onwuka, a SE Chapter stalwart and NIFST VP II, Prof. Oneh Abu, the chairman scientific & training committee of NIFST.
