1. The Forum acknowledges that free flow of information from the NIFST Secretariat and especially through the NIFST website to members and back is vital for the achievement of the objectives of the Forum. In this respect the Forum requests that basic information from the NIFST website should be obtained free and not after log-in requirements.

2. NIFST should form stronger synergy with local institutions to enable it lead the Forum at the international level. However more institutional support for NIFST back home including attendance and exhibition at NIFST Conference is important for strengthening NIFST capacity to lead the Forum.

3. The expansion of the network of the Forum with regular dissemination of information such as minutes of meetings and digest of the Forum activities is important for carrying the interest groups of the Forum and the entire nation along.

4. NIFST should regularly circulate the list of Forum members and their contacts to enable members reach out to others. NIFST should also mount the Forum on social media.

5. The Forum advocates for the regular attendance of the Commissioners of Agric in all states, Agriculture Committee Members of the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly as well as the Minister of Agriculture to NIFST Conference in Nigeria is critical for the reinforcement of Food policy issues in Nigeria that will promote the success of the NIFST leadership of the Forum.

6. The INNF requests for a stronger NIFST/ Government relationship and if possible have a NIFST / Government relationship Officer very soon.

7. The Forum strongly appeals to NIFST to make its rich library to be accessible online for Nigerian researchers worldwide.

8. The INNF will explore promoting the participation of members in other Expos worldwide including the NIFST Conference Expo and others globally not IFT Expo only.

9. INNF wants greater publicity for the Kano Conference.

10. The INNF governance structure will be expanded as follows: Chairman (NIFST Representative); International Participants (USDA Representative) Industry and Private sector Participants (AFBTE Representative) and Government Participants (National Food Safety Management Committee Representative).
