Today, the NIFST team paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) at their Main Campus, Ikorodu. The team was led by NIFST VP1, Dr. Bola Osinowo, and supported by our Past President and Chairman of the NIFST Industry Linkage Committee, Mr. Oluwole Toye, my humble self who stood in for the Lagos Chapter Chairman and NIFST Editorial Officer, Mr. James Agu. We were warmly received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Abiodun A. Denloye. The Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, Engr. Dr. Yakub Bankole led our members at LASUSTECH, our erudite Fellow and Chief Lecturer, Dr. Afolashade Ayinde with the HOD of Food Technology, Dr. Titilope Abegunde and Ikorodu Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Oladotun Oguntoyinbo to meet the DVC. It was a win-win situation as the university management agreed amongst other issues discussed to sponsor our members in the institution to attend the forthcoming NIFST Annual Conference and AGM.
