A high powered delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology led by the NIFST President, Prof. Maduebibisi O. Iwe, today Thursday, 11th February

2021 paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, His Excellency, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu at the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, FCT Abuja.
The NIFST Team visit to the Honourable Minister was to seek for more concerted efforts with the Supervising Ministry so as to chart a new course for the Institute. Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu tasked the Institute to continue to maintain the high standard and ensure food safety while establishing the fact that NIFST is very critical to the nation’s economy. Prof. Iwe assured the Minister that the Institute was prepared to support the government to ensure food security, safety and availability.
In the NIFST President Team were: National Secretary, Dr. Stephen Fagbemi; National Treasurer, Prof. Mrs. Olayinka Karim; Registrar- NCFST, Mrs. Vera Eze and an Exco Member from the NIFST FCT Abuja Chapter, Dr. Promise Ogbonna.
