FELLOW APPLICATION FOR CONSIDERATION- 2016

Dear NIFSTers,
 
I am pleased to invite those members who by virtue of their status feel they are due and can be elevated to the highest professional cadre of our great Institute to apply for the 2016 Elections to Fellowship starting from 1st March to 1st May 2016.
 
Guidelines for admission into Fellow
Nominations for election as Fellows are to be accompanied by:
 
(i)    Application Fee of N10, 000:00 only (Non- refundable)
(ii)    Citation (maximum 500 words) prepared by the nominee highlighting the principal accomplishments and contributions for which the nominee is recognized.
(iii)          A statement (maximum 100 words) on the activities of the nominee in NIFST including Chapter activities and participation in Annual General Meetings/Conferences prepared by the nominee
(iv)          Keywords (maximum ten, 10) that relate specifically to the nominees achievements e.g. President NIFST, Professor of Food Technology, Managing Director, industrialist, food safety, food regulation and legislation, Fellow Academy of Science, mentoring young food professionals, women in agriculture, young scientist award winner etc.
(v)          Letter of Recommendation from the Chapter signed by the Chapter Chairman and Secretary
(vi)      The maximum number of Fellows that will be elected in any one year shall not be more than seven.
(vii)        Fellows-elect must be present at the induction ceremony and there shall be no acceptance of induction by proxy.    .
 
 
Note: Fellows application must be received by the Secretariat by the 2nd of May to be eligible for consideration.
 Please note that your Chapter Chairman and Secretary MUST endorse your application.
